Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- bakery experience
- completion of company orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment performing detailed and precise tasks
- ability to work with customers and stay attentive to their needs
- capability to frequently stand and walk
- ability to constantly reach at waist level and grasp items
- occasional ability to reach at overhead, shoulder, knee, and floor levels
- ability to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, pivot, twist, arm push and pull, pinch, and utilize fine motor skills
- occasional exposure to wet, cold, hot conditions, and loud noise
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to manage weights exceeding 50 lbs with assistance if necessary

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
- apply proficient baking and frying skills including equipment set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance
- use production tools to plan baking and frying
- apply proper baking and frying techniques for each item according to visual training aids
- plan for and break out proper amount of baked goods daily
- ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
- ensure baked and fried products reach the showcase and tables at prescribed times
- prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- slice, package, label, and rotate products
- record production and shrink to aid in production planning
- clean and sanitize display cases
- maintain production area according to SOPs
- comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- comply with department and store operating procedures
- operate and maintain all equipment properly
