Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six years practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
  • ability to perform physical demands of the job including lifting up to 100 pounds and pushing/pulling truck tires
  • willingness to work the required schedule including second shift
  • ability to travel as necessary
  • ability to maintain current driver qualification file
  • willingness to submit to background check and drug screening
  • regular, predictable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Six years practical experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • vocational or technical school preferred
  • specialized training and experience in the repair and refinish of all series of truck and trailer required
  • proficiency in the use of all tools of trade including welding, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools required
  • valid driver’s license required
  • basic computer skills required
  • ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by management
  • ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and company safety and maintenance policies
  • regular, predictable, full attendance
  • willingness to travel as necessary
  • ability to maintain a current driver qualification file as required by DOT regulations
  • successful completion of background investigation including past employment, education, and criminal history
  • ability to work safely and in a constant state of alertness
  • ability to accept responsibility for personal and others’ safety

Job Duties

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and truck and trailer collision repairs
  • conduct cab and sheet metal repair
  • perform fiberglass repair and composite bonding
  • execute welding and fabricating tasks
  • straighten and align frames
  • repair and align suspension systems
  • maintain and repair air conditioning, electrical, brake, and cooling systems
  • prepare surfaces and perform paint mixing, tinting, and blending
  • identify and determine parts required for repairs
  • perform road tests as necessary
  • maintain work area appearance and safety
  • identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders
  • perform duties with little or no supervision in a timely and efficient manner
  • complete other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
