Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior dishwashing or related experience preferred
- ability to comply with safety and sanitation standards
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift frequently during shift
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- willingness to obtain and maintain food safety certification
- ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- can physically stand/walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- clean and sanitize throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweep, mop, remove debris from floor
- perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
