  • Certified in Food Safety with the State of Texas or ability to pass certification
  • Ability to work during regular business and program hours
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to be patient
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler certification
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Job Duties

  • Drive safely and efficiently to designated locations
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance tasks such as fueling and cleaning
  • Follow assigned routes and ensure timely delivery of food
  • Pack food according to established procedures and standards
  • Load food securely into the delivery vehicle
  • Maintain appropriate food temperature during transport
  • Support kitchen operations by cleaning dishes and sanitizing workstations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report incidents and complete required documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain discipline and de-escalate conflicts when necessary
  • Complete all administrative tasks and reports promptly
  • Manage data collection and reporting with accuracy
  • Serve as a positive role model and represent the organization professionally
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality
