Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, spice processing or related manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, batch sheets, recipes, and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to product quality
  • Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and recording data
  • Physically able to lift up to 75lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Training in HACCP, GMP, or food safety preferred
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Knowledge of spice characteristics, blending methods, and ingredient handling
  • Understanding food safety regulations and quality assurance practices
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty environments with spices containing allergens
  • Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures for long periods
  • Able to work occasional overtime and weekends
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, goggles, or hearing protection
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and production targets

  • Must be able to read and write English

Job Duties

  • Verify and dump raw ingredients into mixers based on batch cards and operator direction
  • Operate blending and packaging machinery safely and efficiently
  • Run out blends into appropriate packaging according to specified weights
  • Perform basic quality checks, including visual inspection and product labeling
  • Monitor blending processes to ensure consistency in flavor, aroma, and texture
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety guidelines (HACCP, BRC)
  • Clean and sanitize blending equipment and work areas to meet food safety standards
  • Assist in quality control by sampling and checking blends against specifications
  • Accurately complete production records, batch reports, and inventory logs
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of blending equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Support technicians by providing guidance and troubleshooting basic issues
  • Ensure safe handling of allergens and cross-contamination prevention
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support team members in meeting daily production goals
  • Other duties as assigned
