Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping experience in healthcare preferred
- knowledge of infection control and sanitation standards
- ability to follow instructions and procedures
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for long periods
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- compliance with hospital safety protocols including PPE use

Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical suites, emergency rooms, and other clinical areas
- perform terminal cleaning of discharged patient rooms following infection control guidelines
- sanitize high-touch surfaces and restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
- safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps containers
- operate hospital-grade cleaning equipment such as UV disinfection systems and floor scrubbers
- follow strict protocols for infection prevention, including use of PPE
- respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and spills
- maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion in patient care areas
- document cleaning activities as required by hospital policy
