Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping experience in healthcare preferred
  • knowledge of infection control and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for long periods
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • compliance with hospital safety protocols including PPE use

Job Qualifications

  • previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • knowledge of infection control and hospital sanitation standards
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions and hospital procedures
  • strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
  • must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical suites, emergency rooms, and other clinical areas
  • perform terminal cleaning of discharged patient rooms following infection control guidelines
  • sanitize high-touch surfaces and restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
  • safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps containers
  • operate hospital-grade cleaning equipment such as UV disinfection systems and floor scrubbers
  • follow strict protocols for infection prevention, including use of PPE
  • respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and spills
  • maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion in patient care areas
  • document cleaning activities as required by hospital policy
