Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalency
- experience in housekeeping or related field preferred but not required
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to push, pull, or move heavy equipment and supplies
- capability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- willingness to work evening shift including weekends and holidays
- commitment to follow hospital policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications

- capable of operating cleaning equipment
- physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
Job Duties
- Operate all cleaning equipment used by the department for various cleaning or buffing jobs
- move heavy objects such as beds, desks, and copy machines
- identify medical waste from regular waste and dispose of them appropriately following hospital regulations
- participate in mandatory educational and in-service programs
- maintain established departmental policies, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, wet cleaning, washing, vacuuming floors, washing walls and ceilings, stripping and waxing floors, disinfecting sinks and plumbing
- perform related duties as assigned
