Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- some restaurant experience
- availability to work first shift hours including weekends
- ability to stand and walk frequently
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds occasionally
- good communication skills
- positive attitude
- ability to follow health department and hotel safety standards
- punctuality and reliable attendance
- ability to adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- willingness to attend mandatory trainings such as TIPS
- ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, stooping, kneeling, and handling objects

Job Duties
- Provide bistro service including counter service, barista, food running, table service, room service and deliveries
- maintain daily setup and breakdown of the bistro by following daily checklists
- know each menu item and its ingredients, including happy hour and create-your-own pasta offerings
- be aware of local events and provide guests with suggestions
- follow and maintain quality assurance standards and correct service lingo
- adhere to health department specifications including temperature logs, product rotation, and waste recording
- strive to exceed guest satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly
- complete cleaning duties and side work tasks, maintaining pride in work
- report to work on time and comply with attendance policies
- participate in department meetings and communicate ideas freely
- display a positive and courteous attitude while working well with others
- maintain professional appearance and uniform standards
- exhibit a sense of urgency and productivity throughout shifts
- seek ways to reduce waste and control expenses while increasing revenue through suggestive selling
- keep work areas neat and participate in recycling efforts
- follow hotel safety standards
- attend TIPS training and properly card guests
- perform minor bartender duties as needed
- handle telephone orders and prepare room service accurately
- actively care for each guest following Marriott standards
- monitor food waste and uphold bistro cleanliness
- attend department meetings and communicate effectively
- follow hotel green policies
- perform any additional duties assigned by management
