Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak and hear in English
  • Close and distance vision
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Tolerance for near loud noises

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Experience in customer service or food service preferred
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve ice water and/or coffee upon greeting the table
  • Present menu to diner, suggest dinner courses and appropriate wines, answer questions regarding food preparation
  • Write order on check or memorize it
  • Relay order to kitchen or bar and serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • Garnish and decorate dishes preparatory to serving
  • Serve patrons from dish at table on occasion
  • Observe diners to fulfill additional requests and perceive when meal has been completed
  • Total bill and accept payment or refer patron to cashier
  • Replenish supplies and prepare for the next meal
  • Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
