  • previous food service or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • basic arithmetic proficiency

Job Duties

  • Serve ice water or coffee upon greeting the table
  • present menu and suggest dinner courses and appropriate wines
  • answer questions regarding food preparation
  • write or memorize orders
  • relay orders to kitchen or bar
  • serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • garnish and decorate dishes before serving
  • serve patrons from dishes at the table when needed
  • observe diners to fulfill additional requests and detect when meal is finished
  • total the bill and accept payment or direct patron to cashier
  • replenish supplies and prepare for next meal
  • greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
