Job Requirements
- Open availability including days, nights and weekends required
- Ability to work holiday coverage with flexibility to take alternate days off
- Physical ability to perform cooking duties
- Experience in high volume kitchen environments
- Completion of an on-site cooking assessment
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment
- Knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods such as sauteing and grilling, and knife skills
- Culinary Arts Degree preferred
- Local board of Health ServSafe Certification preferred
- 2+ years of cooking experience a plus
Job Duties
- Physically delivering a food product according to the restaurant's standards
- Conducting oneself and work in a clean and safe manner, maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times
- Meeting any special requests presented by guests
- Preparing the dishes with creative flair
- Being knowledgeable of ingredients used in foods to comply with a customer's specific dietary requirements
