Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of previous cooking experience
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and cash register systems
- Effective communication skills in English
- Availability to attend scheduled meetings and adhere to attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- One or more years of previous cook experience
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- ServSafe training and certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to speak, understand and write English
- Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook Courtyard Bistro food items according to CSM/Marriott standards
- Anticipate and complete all prep work based on hotel occupancy
- Adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste
- Follow menu specifications, recipes, and plate set-up
- Operate all equipment and supplies properly
- Expedite food items to Bistro Attendant promptly
- Greet guests courteously and provide quality service
- Accurately take and enter guest orders
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
- Complete required food safety and inventory paperwork
- Assist with inventory and par sheets
- Follow cash handling and POS procedures
- Handle guest and associate incidents per procedures
- Attend department and hotel meetings
- Perform occasional serving and bartending duties
- Collaborate as a team player to enhance Bistro experience
