Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior restaurant or bar experience
  • availability to work weekends and second shifts
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • willingness to comply with safety and health regulations
  • completion of TIPS training
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Some restaurant experience
  • high school diploma or GED
  • knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer
  • ability to engage customers effectively
  • ability to follow Marriott and AHC corporate standards
  • strong teamwork skills
  • basic food and beverage safety knowledge

Job Duties

  • Engage guests and start conversations
  • recognize intoxicated guests and cease service
  • assist servers as needed
  • set up and break down bistro area following checklists
  • know menu items and ingredients
  • maintain QA and health department standards including logs
  • communicate effectively with management and team
  • follow AHC safety and green policies
  • participate in department meetings
  • use suggestive selling techniques
  • maintain cleanliness in bistro and public areas
  • answer telephone and manage room service orders
  • attend TIPS training and card guests as required
