Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of food and beverage service experience
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to multitask and handle stress during busy periods
  • ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, kneel, bend, stoop and crouch
  • ability to use hands for food preparation and sanitation
  • ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • good near and far vision
  • must be able to communicate effectively
  • ability to distinguish smells
  • duties mainly performed indoors
  • ability to hear moderate noise levels

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Presents menu and answers questions
  • takes order for food and beverage
  • utilizes suggestive selling techniques and follows brand steps of service
  • checks with guest regularly to ensure satisfaction and performs guest service recovery when needed
  • computes bill in MICROS and processes payment
  • tracks sales receipts and counts bank at beginning and end of shift
  • completes designated reports and resolves discrepancies
  • ensures complete knowledge of Bistro food and hot beverage standards, preparation methods, ingredients and quality standards according to recipe
  • operates ovens, microwaves, espresso machine and other kitchen equipment
  • ensures knowledge of liquor brands, beer and wine selections, recipes and garnishments per Bistro standards
  • sets up, breaks down and cleans all front and back of house areas
  • clears and cleans tables, countertops, silverware and dinnerware
  • sweeps and vacuums floors
  • removes and disposes of garbage
  • cleans, services and breaks down meeting rooms including food and beverage setup according to Banquet Event Orders
  • delivers orders to guestrooms as requested
  • performs additional duties and projects as assigned
