Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • ServSafe certification
  • Allergen training
  • Starbucks Barista training
  • Ability to work part-time with flexible schedule
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and dietary regulations in nursing care centers

  • Knowledgeable of food service laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating the functioning of the Bistro, its programs, and activities
  • Prepare, cook and deliver an epic food and beverage service program while maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the coordination with food related activities with other departments
  • Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, their families, and visitors
  • Encourage a positive, healthy environment for healing and thriving
  • Adhere to food service laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
