Job Requirements

  • Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification
  • Must pass a physical examination
  • Must be at least seventeen years of age

Job Qualifications

  • Two years experience in customer service or related field
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws regarding Parks and Recreation
  • Knowledge of leisure, social, health and legal needs of individuals with disabilities at all age levels
  • Skill in problem solving
  • identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Skill at the beginner level working with Microsoft Office 365 and other software systems to complete work
  • Skill in providing exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Skill in interpersonal relationships, including using tact, patience, and courtesy
  • Ability to interact with children and adults promoting a safe and fun environment
  • Ability to take charge and identify solutions quickly in emergency situations
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Ability to work independently to manage multiple work tasks while balancing competing priorities with attention to detail and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships

Job Duties

  • Assist patrons with booking birthday parties and cabana rentals and taking payments
  • Assist Guest Services Supervisor with scheduling, supervising, and training staff
  • assist with ensuring coverage for regular shifts and after-hours rentals and events
  • Assist with ordering and organizing birthday party supplies
  • Work scheduled parties and events at assigned location
  • Greet and assist guests with requests
  • bring in and store gifts
  • Oversee and assist with set up and clean up for booked parties
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception, office and party area
  • Serve food and beverages to all party guests
  • Direct all guests to various areas throughout the Water Works Park, Denton Natatorium and Civic Center Pool
  • Handle and resolve guest concerns in a courteous and professional manner
  • notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve customer concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • provide information, as requested
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings, as required
  • Assist with selection, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
  • recommend assignment/assignment change, retention, discipline, and dismissal
