Job Requirements

  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • ability to work in a fast-paced public-facing museum environment
  • clearances including FBI fingerprint results, PA child abuse certificate (Act 33), and PA state criminal record check (Act 34) are required

Job Duties

  • Assist the senior birthday associate in overseeing birthday client reservations
  • act as secondary point of contact for birthday party inquiries and bookings
  • monitor each party to ensure it stays on schedule
  • provide primary coverage for senior birthday associate when dictated by schedule
  • maintain onsite presence during birthday parties
  • open and close party rooms ensuring safety, cleanliness, and enjoyment
  • assist in managing reservations between the museum and birthday clients
  • ensure proper care, movement, and storage of all equipment and supplies
  • inspect equipment and supplies for damage and inventory after use, communicate restocking needs
  • organize and prepare activities in party spaces for next clients or internal use
  • provide knowledgeable, in the moment solutions to client challenges
  • deliver the highest level of service to clients
  • gauge guests' needs and accommodate accordingly
  • assist in implementation and execution of party activities
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment including public and private spaces
  • follow safety and security procedures, properly use equipment and materials
  • ensure museum and grounds are returned to pre-party condition
  • confirm birthday clients have fulfilled contractual obligations including final payment
  • assist admissions and museum store as needed
  • support execution of event rentals
  • follow and enforce museum policies and procedures
  • support and facilitate emergency procedures
  • demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cross-train in multiple departments
