Job Duties
- Answer phones and route to appropriate staff
- transfer phones to and from answering service daily
- handle daily incoming mail and distribute to staff
- manage all outgoing mail including documents requiring physician signature
- develop and maintain employee phone roster
- process, mail, fax, and track documentation requiring physician signatures
- fax discharge summaries, transfer summaries, case conference summaries, and missed visit reports to physicians
- ensure all faxed documents are date stamped
- stamp dates on incoming signed orders and route to appropriate personnel
- prepare and verify office supply orders with management
- maintain adequate quantities of agency forms
- prepare job application, personnel file information, and patient admission packets
- file and organize patient documentation
- break down and thin patient charts
- type meeting minutes and memos for managers
