Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- reliable vehicle with personal vehicle liability insurance
- successful completion of federal and state background checks
- successful completion of child welfare screening
- successful completion of drug and Mantoux (TB) screens
- compliance with agency mission, code of ethics, Catholic Social Teaching, policies, procedures and confidentiality
- ability to lift, push, pull, hold or carry up to 25 pounds
- ability to reason, make judgements, understand and follow oral and written instructions
- ability to make decisions per established procedures

- ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or associate degree equivalent
- minimum 12 months of relevant experience
- clear and pleasant phone voice
- excellent communication skills both oral and written
- ability to speak Spanish
- computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- good decision-making abilities
- positive attitude and willingness to assist employees, volunteers and vendors
- ability to operate automated and standard office equipment including phone system, copier, fax and postage machine
Job Duties
- Provide receptionist services, receive clients and visitors, inform appropriate staff of their arrival
- monitor and oversee the appearance of the waiting area
- process incoming phone calls to the agency, screen phone inquiries and route calls to appropriate department, staff member or back up as required
- forward calls to voicemail if staff are unavailable
- provide secretarial and support services including typing, filing, data entry and recordkeeping
- operate automated and standard office equipment including phone system, Microsoft Office, copier and postage machine
- sort and distribute mail, meter mail and take agency and Diocese mail to the post office each evening
- handle money transactions from clients and donations and record all on daily cash sheet
- prepare donor receipts and acknowledgment letters for mail distribution
- provide data entry for reports, intakes and client records for various programs
- maintain staff schedules
- provide backup to other support staff positions as required
- demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness with the service population
- assist in special projects as required
- participate in meetings, committees and trainings as required by the agency
