Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years administrative or related experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in Spanish
  • Ability to pass agency provided verbal and written Spanish proficiency test with a score of 9 or higher
  • Must qualify as an agency approved driver with valid Oregon driver’s license, vehicle, and current insurance
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a stressful, unstructured environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute with accuracy
  • Ability to complete agency taught CPR/First Aid course
  • Professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years administrative or related experience
  • Proficient data entry and word processing skills
  • Fluent in Spanish reading, writing, and communication
  • Ability to pass verbal and written Spanish proficiency test with a score of 9 or higher
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated team
  • Good communication skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of business English and Spanish, spelling, and punctuation
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Ability to make routine math computations accurately
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute with accuracy
  • Commitment to organizational mission and values

Job Duties

  • Answer phones in a professional manner
  • Greet clients and accept payments for services
  • Perform data entry/typing and filing
  • Assist staff in clerical functions as requested
  • Open or close office as needed at the main office location and satellite office locations
  • Receive and/or return telephone calls to Spanish speaking clients
  • Review documents in Spanish for accuracy
  • Place appointment reminder calls in Spanish to Spanish speaking clients and families
  • Participate in monthly Spanish supervision group and regular individual and group supervision in English
  • Perform other duties as assigned
