Job Requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting laundry baskets and supplies
- prior experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a laundry facility or similar environment
- familiarity with laundry equipment operation
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- knowledge of safety and sanitation standards relevant to laundry operations
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers in both English and Spanish, providing clear instructions on machine operation and facility policies
- operate, monitor, and maintain washers and dryers to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness
- handle customer payments accurately, including cash and electronic transactions, and provide receipts as needed
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry mat, including folding areas, vending machines, and restrooms
- restock laundry supplies such as detergent, fabric softener, and change machines to ensure availability
- enforce safety and security protocols to protect customers and equipment
- respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
