Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
  • 8+ years of experience in international freight forwarding
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs and international trade regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (required)
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Customs and international trade with understanding of customs valuation, classification, compliance/audit, and trade programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
  • 8+ years of experience in international freight forwarding
  • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography

Job Duties

  • Lead, direct, and manage the export and import areas at a given site
  • Ensure operational and financial performance, align budget to market, review financial results with teams, and implement adjustments
  • Manage the quote process to ensure timely processing, accuracy, performance, escalation, and approval
  • Negotiate with customers or providers to secure the best cost or price
  • Ensure consistent quality service, customer satisfaction, profitability, cost-efficient operations, and compliance with U.S. and international requirements, laws, ISO standards, and regulatory guidelines
  • Secure the clearance of air and/or ocean imported shipments through U.S. Customs in compliance with Customs and Border Protection regulations
  • Build and maintain a strong team culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement
