Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proficiency in English and Spanish
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • commitment to patient care
  • basic knowledge of dental insurance processes preferred
  • one year or more experience in a dental or medical office preferred
  • experience with dental practice management software preferred
  • BLS or CPR certification or willingness to obtain one preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients and their families with a friendly and compassionate demeanor
  • check patients in and out ensuring accuracy in patient records and paperwork
  • verify insurance eligibility and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries
  • answer phones and provide information to callers or direct them to appropriate personnel
  • schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently taking into consideration dentist availability and patient preferences
  • collect and process payments from patients
  • maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • assist with administrative tasks including filing data entry and patient communication
  • collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest standard of patient care
  • uphold infection control protocols and contribute to a safe and welcoming office environment
