Job Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years of medical receptionist experience or relevant related experience

  • TB test provided by agency
  • ability to pass agency criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Greet clients and individuals as they enter the clinic, connect them to agency staff, and check them in for appointments
  • provide new and potential clients with necessary information and appointment scheduling
  • maintain appropriate boundaries with clients during all interactions
  • answer the agency phone, voicemail, and other phone system functions
  • discuss sexuality, diverse sexual practices, HIV transmission, safer sex techniques, and injection drug use with discretion and without judgment when needed
  • communicate professionally, pleasantly, clearly, and effectively with compassion and respect
  • conduct opening and closing procedures to ensure a pleasant, clean, and professional appearance of community areas
  • organize incoming and outgoing mail, shipments, and file packing slips
  • assist staff with general office management, copying, clerical needs, and scheduling
  • print clinic appointment schedules and paperwork
  • check patients in, provide necessary paperwork, and process completed forms
  • check eligibility for OHP in MMIS and update patient information in EMR/EHR
  • search alert database for immunization status as appropriate
  • schedule follow-up appointments and scan consent documents
  • work well with others, manage stress appropriately, ensure reliable attendance
  • provide support to the Operations Team as needed
