Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or two-year degree in related field
  • minimum of six years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management or related area
  • proven leadership and management capabilities
  • knowledge of customer service, economics, accounting and financial management
  • strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • ability to manage budgets and resources
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to coach and mentor staff
  • compliance with food safety and liquor laws
  • availability to work full time
  • ability to lead multiple teams across properties

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED with six years of relevant experience
  • or two-year degree in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related field with four years of experience
  • knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • understanding of economic and accounting principles including P&L statements and forecasting
  • strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • experience in managing financial resources
  • leadership and management skills
  • knowledge of food production, presentation, and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage material resources effectively
  • applied business knowledge relevant to hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • manage all restaurant operations and staff daily
  • direct and work with food and beverage and culinary management teams
  • improve guest and employee satisfaction continually
  • maximize financial performance in areas of responsibility
  • facilitate pre-meal briefings with chefs and restaurant managers
  • maintain service and sanitation standards
  • order and purchase equipment and supplies
  • oversee booking and service of restaurant parties and special events
  • manage department's controllable expenses
  • set and guide realistic and obtainable operational goals
  • lead and mentor food and beverage team
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws and food handling standards
  • act as role model for excellent customer service
  • interact with guests to obtain and respond to feedback
  • provide guidance and performance monitoring for subordinates
  • manage recruiting and hiring processes
  • communicate effectively with executives, peers, and subordinates
  • analyze information to solve problems and improve operations
