Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including drug screen, hearing and vision check
- Available to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, with mandatory overtime as needed
- Comfortable with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
- Must be able to use radio electronic devices to communicate
- Must fluently read, write, and speak English
- Physical ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags up to 70 lbs
- Ability to perform pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Possess and maintain valid US state drivers license with no suspensions or revocations
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to acquire and maintain necessary credentials including fingerprint clearance, airport badging, and pass background checks
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and radio electronic devices
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with items weighing up to 70 lbs
- Ability to perform physical activities including pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
- Valid US state drivers license
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Job Duties
- Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
- Use reservation and ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, calculate and collect appropriate fees
- Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights depart on time
- Listen to passengers and resolve issues related to flight interruptions
- Work in baggage service office to track baggage location and handle passenger inquiries
- Operate computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
- Maintain composure while managing customer challenges
- Read and interpret checked baggage tags and cargo labels
- Prep and secure aircraft for the next flight
- Use radios to communicate with co-workers and flight crew
- Ensure compliance with United Airlines and FAA regulations
- Lift baggage, boxes, or cargo up to 70 lbs
- Load and unload baggage, push/pull carts
- Ascend and descend jet-way stairs carrying baggage
- Bend, stoop, and crawl to move and stack cargo
- Drive ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
- Clean aircraft interiors and service aircraft lavatories
- Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
