Job Requirements

  • High school diploma GED certification or equivalent
  • Two years supervisory experience in a bar/lounge with a full liquor license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must obtain and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server's License prior to hire date
  • Must be able to pass a stringent background investigation
  • Must undergo pre-employment and random drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma GED certification or equivalent
  • Two years supervisory experience in a bar/lounge with a full liquor license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Two years of college preferred
  • Six months food or restaurant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of beverages including cocktails wines spirits and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Ability to motivate coach and develop a team
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Proficiency in managing beverage operations inventory control staffing scheduling and software tools
  • Basic P&L knowledge understanding purchasing beverage and food handling
  • Knowledge of local and state liquor laws
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to assist in interviewing hiring orientation and training
  • Ability to foster collaborative work environment and teamwork
  • Ability to supervise associates
  • Ability to handle guest conflict situations professionally
  • Detail oriented with customer service focus
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability
  • Experience with Point-Of-Sale programs

Job Duties

  • Manages the overall operation of beverage outlets ensuring smooth functioning and alignment with high standards
  • Interviews hires and trains employees planning assigning and directing work assignments addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Prepares schedules for bar/lounge employees
  • Completes required daily financial tools and reports including reconciliation end of staff shift paperwork nightly log recap end of shift walkthrough form
  • Leads and inspires a team of beverage staff fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Manages beverage inventory levels including ordering receiving and stock rotation to ensure product availability while minimizing waste and spoilage
  • Manages relationships with suppliers ensuring quality and cost effectiveness
  • Solicits guests' feedback through direct interaction and comment cards and follows up as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintains a neat clean organized safe and comfortable environment ensuring compliance with Indian Health Services standards
  • Ensures that all service equipment is handled safely and reports mechanical problems for repair
  • Coaches reinforces and leads employees creating a positive supportive environment enforcing regulatory internal controls policies and procedures and appearance guidelines
  • Appraises performance and makes corrective action plans for assigned staff with departmental management assistance
  • Submits requisitions and oversees product transfers
  • Communicates daily to staff about responsible alcohol service and holds staff accountable
  • Responds and takes charge in cutting off patrons refused alcohol service
  • Ensures incident documentation is completed daily
  • Ensures all beverage products served meet standardized recipes and temperature logs are completed every shift
  • Ensures IG cash registers are maintained and closed out at designated shift times
  • Completes computer-based learning as needed
  • Maintains open and effective communication with management via timely emails
  • Nurtures an exceptional team environment developing positive work culture and informed collaborative enthusiastic team
  • Maintains punctual and regular attendance according to Pueblo of Sandia Attendance Policy
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by beverage management
