Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel
  • Use hands and arms to reach
  • Use legs and feet to balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to utilize vision or other powers of observation to review documents and computer screens
  • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations including obtaining a license
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least two years of experience in bar operations

Job Qualifications

  • A two (2)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience with bar operations, supervising, and processes
  • Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws
  • Familiarity with Health Department, OSHA and Gaming Regulations
  • Excellent service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Objective analytical and effective prioritization skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental/company goals
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in stressful environments
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Effective communication in one-on-one, small group and large group situations
  • Proven integrity, confidentiality, teamwork and positive attitude in achieving goals

Job Duties

  • Assist with the development and managing of the beverage department budget
  • Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries
  • Schedule staffing levels to maintain consistent employment and positive guest experience
  • Develop staff including training, interviewing, performance management and disciplinary counseling
  • Assist with coordination and supervision of department financial data
  • Review beverage activities and promotions with Beverage Manager
  • Monitor and adjust bar performance relative to local competition
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with Alcohol Beverage Control laws
  • Maintain knowledge of Health Department, OSHA and Gaming Regulations
