Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Recent experience as a server, host or bartender in alcohol-serving restaurants or Beverage Server III experience for 6 months
- Must be 18 years or older
- No felony, theft or stealing convictions
- Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- Pass background check
- Obtain and maintain gaming license
- Knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law)
- Knowledge of cash handling and POS operations
- Ability to obtain Food Handlers card and TIPS certification
- Ability to pass Beverage Server II skill set test
- Ability to communicate effectively in basic English
- Ability to provide outstanding guest service
- Ability to work under pressure and busy environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, graveyards, holidays, weekends and irregular shifts
- Willingness to work in all Food & Beverage venues unless specified
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Recent experience in the restaurant field as a server, host or bartender in an establishment that served alcohol or has successfully worked as a Beverage Server III for at least 6 months
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No felony, theft or stealing convictions
- Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and guest service
- Knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and assertiveness in enforcing alcohol law
- Knowledge of cash handling
- Knowledge of bar items, liquors, and pricing
- Knowledge of POS system
- Knowledge of internal controls and commitment to follow consistently
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card
- Ability to obtain TIPS certification
- Ability to pass Beverage Server II skill set testing
- Ability to communicate, read and write clearly in basic English
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a busy, stressful environment
Job Duties
- Possesses knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne and cocktails
- Knowledgeable of drink prices and proper measurement
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing Food & Beverage and ensures that all Tribal, City, State and Federal Health/Food Safety codes are upheld
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and sanitized work area following all health/food safety regulations
- Serves alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring legal drinking age adherence and compliance with Title 4 and TOGE alcohol controls
- Operates POS system, computes bills and accepts payments with basic math skills
- Provides excellent guest service by continually checking on guests and responding to their requests
- Keeps the casino environment clean and safe by cleaning ashtrays, sweeping floors and discarding containers
- Maintains cleanliness of service tables and floors
- Adheres to Title 4 and TOGE internal controls
- Serves guests in a responsive, caring, prompt and courteous manner
- Operates the POS cash register and stocks service station
- Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of the entire work area
- Follows standard service techniques consistently
- Monitors guests for intoxication and follows proper procedures
- Provides information about Food and Beverage outlets and casino promotions
- Maintains good communication with team members and positive work environment
- Maintains proper attendance following casino policy
- Contributes to team efforts and works closely with other departments
- Demonstrates Desert Diamond Casino 'On Brand' attitude
- Supports and reinforces the Spirit of Service Standards
- Flexible to assume other responsibilities as assigned
