Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a beverage server
  • one year experience as a beverage server in a bar, lounge, or hotel/casino environment preferred
  • ability to compute quickly and accurately basic mathematical calculations
  • ability to use computers and calculators
  • ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least 21 years of age
  • alcohol awareness work card
  • health work card
  • walk, stand or stoop up to 100% of time
  • walk, stand, and/or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces
  • frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds
  • use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
  • working inside in a noisy, smoky, and hot or cold environment
  • literacy, speech, vision, and hearing (critical)

Job Duties

  • Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
  • rectify any deficiencies
  • greet guests and take their orders
  • anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, in a friendly and courteous manner
  • maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non alcoholic selections available
  • maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by the state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minor and intoxicated persons
  • be familiar with all hotel services/features and provide information to guests, as needed
  • answer guest questions, as needed
  • legibly document orders when POS is down and distribute orders to respective bartender for preparation of order
  • retrieve orders from bar area and serve promptly to guests
  • replace ashtrays within the pit with 4 butts with clean ashtray by using capping method
  • follow all Clark County health codes
  • other duties as assigned
