Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of related Food & Beverage experience with one year in supervision
  • Ability to lead and train staff effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Completion of Responsible Vendor Alcohol Awareness Certification (RBS)
  • Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficiency with MS Office and hotel computer systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum three years of progressive Food & Beverage experience with at least one year in a supervisory role
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant management, luxury hotel service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate staff in high volume, time-sensitive environments
  • Experience mentoring and training staff to meet or exceed guest expectations
  • Completion of required training programs
  • Ability to anticipate business activity and manage labor costs
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn hotel-specific computer and telephone systems
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule instructions
  • Effective report writing and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English required
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Completion of Responsible Vendor Alcohol Awareness Certification (RBS)

Job Duties

  • Manage supervisors and lead personnel overseeing team members in all Food & Beverage outlets
  • Assist with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of restaurant operations
  • Provide hands-on support including bartending, serving, wine service, and seating guests as needed
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and training of all Food & Beverage team members
  • Plan, assign, and direct work while appraising performance and resolving staff issues
  • Monitor daily outlet operations to ensure efficiency, proper service, and adherence to product presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, opening and closing procedures
  • Participate in management training and ensure staff attend mandatory meetings
  • Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses, and maximize profitability
  • Utilize corporate-approved programs for financial analysis and decision making
  • Ensure outstanding, consistent guest service by engaging with guests and addressing complaints promptly
  • Maintain clean and properly set up dining, service, and kitchen areas
  • Manage inventory of food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment including ordering
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and consider replacements
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage regulations
  • Monitor and update standard operating procedures
  • Participate in weekly Food & Beverage management meetings
  • Follow food handling, Responsible Vendor Alcohol Awareness Certification, sanitation, and health department guidelines
  • Promote and maintain safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment and hazard materials program
  • Report to work on time consistently
  • Make merit recommendations and assist with promotions
  • Approve leave and time off within company policy
  • Respond to guest inquiries and coordinate special requests
  • Assist in developing annual Food & Beverage budget
  • Resolve guest complaints and report unusual events
  • Enforce policies on serving alcoholic beverages responsibly
  • Notify management of guest behavior issues
