Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as bartender
  • previous restaurant management experience
  • ability to manage and train staff
  • experience with inventory and cost control
  • knowledge of beverage ordering systems
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Prior restaurant hourly experience as a bartender
  • previous restaurant management experience
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of beverage product lines and industry trends
  • ability to use ordering systems such as Ordersmart and Aloha P-Mix
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience with inventory control and cost management
  • capability to develop beverage programs and promotional activities
  • commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Works M.O.D. shifts as scheduled
  • works bartender shifts as scheduled
  • devises side work schedules to assist managers and employees in the maintenance and organization of the bar and lounge
  • focus on ‘Top Ten’ list ensuring consistency, quality, value and speed of items
  • monitors pricing in Ordersmart for profitability
  • monitors all competitors in market and reports quarterly to GM and owner
  • stays current with market trends and advises GM of new product lines
  • develops and monitors all beverage menus recommending updates as needed
  • runs promotional incentive contests as needed
  • coordinates nightly/weekly beverage pairings or specials
  • coordinates and conducts beverage seminars on a quarterly basis
  • monitors beverage pricing vs. Aloha P-Mix
  • monitors refrigeration equipment maintenance program
  • places all orders for beverage related items maintaining organized and efficient ordering guides and order history
  • completes physical inventory of beverage items periodically
  • monitors glassware usage, stocking, and storage ensuring efficiency and places orders as needed
  • manages personnel including bartenders and cocktail servers maintaining labor pool, recruiting, training, motivating and communicating, ensures personal appearance standards, completes schedules and evaluates staff regularly
  • maintains audio visual program by staying current with music trends, coordinating music and video schedules, and creating theme music evenings
  • maintains ambiance items such as furniture, bar stools, tables, candles, and miscellaneous items
  • maintains all website beverage menus
  • updates recipes in Ordersmart and ensures accuracy of Aloha P-Mix
  • ensures product consistency and excellence in beverage execution
  • maintains alcohol safety program ensuring employees have completed required courses and files are updated
