Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- TABC certified upon employment
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to operate computerized cash register
- knowledge of product identification and pricing
- ability to handle money accurately
- ability to comply with state laws and company policies
- capable of managing customer inquiries and complaints
- physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
- standing and walking for extended periods

- strong interpersonal/customer service skills
Job Duties
- Waits on and assists customers
- orally communicates with customers and co-workers on products, prices, and methods of payment
- checkout customer purchases using register
- handle company funds in an efficient and accurate manner
- figures mathematical calculations assessing prices paid and change to be given
- sacks customer purchases
- completes necessary paperwork to count down register to end shift and count money for periodic pick-ups
- checks in and prices newly received merchandise
- stocking and facing product on shelves, displays, and in storage
- answers telephone for customer inquiries
- knows product identification, differences in product sizes, and where to resource product information and different alcoholic products available
- capable of suggestive selling and product merchandising
- maintains inventory control and determines stocking needs
- maintains cleanliness of work station, including sweeping area and dusting/rearranging product
- maintains current TABC Certificate
- effectively handles customer inquiries and complaints
- complies with state laws and company policy regarding sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, lottery tickets and other age-restricted products
- complies with all company policies and procedures
- notifies management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns and property defacement
- presents favorable impression in dress, personal hygiene and business attitude
- performs other duties as assigned by management
