Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic computer knowledge to navigate online ordering systems
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors
  • Ability to stand for entire work shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for 30 percent of the time
  • Ability to stand upright for majority of scheduled work shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail management experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and automated ordering software (DAX)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and train a team
  • Knowledge of alcohol sales regulations and compliance
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the role

Job Duties

  • Manage all beer and wine sales and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Maintain acceptable inventory levels to maximize sales and control out-of-date products through proper ordering with vendors and LOOP
  • Control inventory levels using automated ordering system (DAX) and conduct routine smart counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Collaborate with beverage vendors on product displays and seasonal items
  • Preserve excellent internal and external customer service
  • Identify customer needs and respond proactively
  • Handle invoices and maintain pricing integrity within the beer and wine category
  • Ensure proper food levels available in the café with communication to the Deli Department
  • Provide new employee training via RAMP certifications and ongoing training to existing staff regarding compliance with PLCB
  • Train employees on products and procedures in the beer and wine department
  • Establish employee schedules to ensure proper coverage and service levels
  • Maintain good relationships with beverage and wine vendors through regular communication
  • Communicate department concerns and objectives with store management
  • Comply with all health, safety, and PLCB regulations
  • Enforce and train staff on policies for alcohol sales and identification verification
  • Greet customers and assist with needs
  • Abide by all Redner's Markets policies and procedures set forth in the employee handbook
