Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • minimum 3 years experience in bar or beverage operations with at least 1 year in supervisory role
  • experience with beverage inventory management, cost control, and service standards
  • proven ability to support execution of beverage programs
  • strong leadership abilities with experience coaching and motivating teams
  • extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, mixology, spirits, wine, and beer
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • solid understanding of cost control, inventory systems, and financial performance
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of local, state, and federal alcohol service laws and safety standards
  • proficiency in POS systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily bar and beverage operations to ensure smooth, consistent, and efficient service across all outlets
  • assist in implementing beverage programs, menu changes, and service standards aligned with the hotel brand and guest experience goals
  • ensure compliance with alcohol regulations and food safety standards
  • monitor beverage inventory levels and manage ordering to maintain proper stock and minimize waste
  • maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of beverage storage and service areas
  • support training, coaching, and development of bar and service staff
  • lead by example to reinforce service standards and Proper Hospitality culture
  • assist with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage
  • foster a positive and collaborative team environment
  • facilitate communication between bar teams and other departments
  • assist in monitoring beverage cost controls including COGS, waste management, and inventory accuracy
  • support pricing strategies, promotions, and menu engineering to drive revenue
  • participate in financial reviews to identify improvement opportunities
  • ensure all beverages meet quality and presentation standards
  • respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns
  • support initiatives to enhance guest beverage experiences through tastings and events
  • maintain and update beverage menus to complement culinary offerings
  • assist rollout of seasonal cocktails and new program elements
  • maintain consistency in beverage preparation through recipe adherence and training
  • stay informed on industry trends and mixology techniques
  • collaborate with F&B Director and marketing team to promote beverage programs and special events
  • ensure promotional materials reflect beverage offerings
  • build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • ensure staff follow alcohol service laws and health standards
  • conduct inspections of bar areas for compliance
  • uphold safety protocols at all times
  • assist with beverage service planning for catered events and private functions
  • coordinate with banquet teams to fulfill beverage requirements
  • oversee event bar setups and service execution
