Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year management experience preferably in Food & Beverage
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to grasp, bend, lift or carry goods weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to use office equipment including computer keyboard, calculator, and multi-line telephone
  • Must comply with safety and liquor regulations
  • Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and heavy hotel activity
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to supervise and lead staff
  • Adherence to control procedures for beverage and labor costs
  • Ability to maintain neat and clean appearance

Job Duties

  • Oversee work performance of employees to ensure proper level of service is provided
  • Prepare weekly and daily work schedules based on business flow and hotel events
  • Analyze accounting information to determine satisfactory departmental progression
  • Analyze reports to control costs and enhance revenue
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets
  • Ensure smooth running of the beverage department
  • Abide by state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • Report suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions to supervisors or safety personnel
  • Provide instructions and guidance for guest and employee safety in emergency situations
  • Abide by all state and corporate gaming regulations pertaining to minors in gaming areas
