Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a beverage manager or in a similar role in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Strong mixology and cocktail creation skills
- Knowledge of current beverage trends and industry standards
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team
- Strong customer service orientation with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Valid alcohol service certification or willingness to obtain
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a beverage manager or similar role within the restaurant industry
- In-depth knowledge of beverages including spirits, cocktails, beers, and wines
- Strong understanding of food and wine pairing principles with ability to create harmonious combinations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers, staff, and suppliers
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost-control techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry
Job Duties
- Curate unique experiences by designing and executing captivating beverage menus that reflect Miami's culture and current trends
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team of bartenders and beverage staff, fostering creativity, excellence, and collaboration
- Drive operational excellence by overseeing all beverage outlets, ensuring top-notch service, adherence to health and safety standards, and efficient inventory management
- Engage personally with guests to create customized beverage experiences and gather feedback to enhance service quality
- Maximize profitability through innovative cost management strategies, inventory control, sales analysis, and supplier negotiations
- Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Beverage, culinary teams, and other departments to create memorable events, promotions, and beverage experiences
- Monitor and maintain bar equipment, glassware, and supplies to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and sufficient stock levels
