Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer knowledge to navigate online product ordering
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to analyze product movement and maintain reports and schedules
- Strong communication skills for interactions with customers, employees, and vendors
- Must be able to stand for the entire work shift
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for 30 percent of work time
- Ability to stand upright for the majority of scheduled work shift
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a retail department or similar supervisory role
- Knowledge of beer and wine products and industry regulations
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as DAX or similar
- Certification or ability to obtain RAMP certification
- Proven ability to train and lead staff effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Manage all beer and wine sales and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Maintain an acceptable level of inventory to maximize sales and control out-of-date product through proper ordering
- Control inventory levels using the automated ordering system (DAX) and routine smart counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Work with beverage vendors on product displays and seasonal products
- Preserve excellent internal and external customer service levels
- Identify customers' needs and respond proactively
- Handle invoices and pricing integrity within the Beer and Wine category
- Ensure proper food levels available in the café and communicate with the Deli Department
- Provide new employee training via RAMP certifications and ongoing training for compliance with PLCB
- Train employees on products and procedures within the Beer and Wine department
- Establish employee schedules for proper department coverage
- Maintain good relationships with all beverage and wine vendors through regular communication
- Communicate department concerns and objectives with store management and supervisors
- Comply with all health, safety, and PLCB regulations
- Enforce and train Beer and Wine employees on alcohol sale policies and identification requirements
- Greet customers and observe their needs
- Abide by all Redner's Markets policies and procedures set forth by the employee handbook
- Coordinate pickup of wine orders during work shifts
- Physically handle merchandise and restock shelves and coolers
- Operate the cash register according to cashier accountability policies
