Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management business administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of beverage or bar management experience
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to develop and execute profitable beverage programs
  • Knowledge of beverage inventory management cost control and menu development
  • Experience leading recruitment training and performance evaluations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of alcohol service regulations and health safety standards
  • Proficiency with POS systems and inventory software
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management business administration or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in beverage or bar management with minimum 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing profitable beverage programs
  • In-depth knowledge of beverage inventory management cost control and menu development
  • Experience managing large teams including recruitment training and performance evaluations
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Expert knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages mixology wine and beer pairings
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting cost control and financial reporting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of local state and federal alcohol service regulations and health safety standards
  • Proficiency in POS systems inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily beverage operations ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Develop and manage beverage programs aligning with the hotel brand
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol regulations safety sanitation and health codes
  • Monitor beverage inventory and manage reordering to meet demand and minimize waste
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for beverage service storage and handling
  • Lead mentor and train beverage staff bartenders and servers for exceptional service consistency
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations provide feedback and implement corrective actions
  • Create and manage staff schedules ensuring appropriate coverage during high-demand times
  • Foster positive inclusive motivating work environment encouraging teamwork and development
  • Ensure effective communication between beverage staff and other departments
  • Develop and manage beverage department budget ensuring financial targets and cost control
  • Track analyze KPIs such as beverage sales cost of goods sold labor costs and guest satisfaction
  • Implement pricing strategies promotions and menu engineering to maximize revenue
  • Conduct regular financial reviews identifying cost reduction and performance improvement
  • Maintain high standards of beverage quality service and presentation ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest complaints related to beverage service resolving issues promptly
  • Develop strategies to enhance guest retention and encourage repeat visits
  • Collect and analyze guest feedback to improve beverage program
  • Curate update beverage menu collaborating with culinary team to complement food offerings
  • Introduce new cocktails seasonal specials and unique beverage options
  • Monitor beverage quality ensuring consistency in taste presentation and satisfaction
  • Stay current on beverage trends incorporating innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with marketing team on beverage-focused promotions events and campaigns
  • Oversee beverage social media presence aligning with brand messaging
  • Work with vendors suppliers and distributors to create unique beverage experiences
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including alcohol service laws
  • Conduct audits of beverage storage areas ensuring proper handling sanitation and compliance
  • Maintain clean safe work environment for beverage service areas ensuring organization and inventory control
  • Work with event planners to develop beverage menus for banquets weddings conferences
  • Oversee beverage service for private events ensuring smooth operation and guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate with catering team to manage beverage needs for special functions
