Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • three to four years of beverage manager experience
  • must have or be able to obtain an ABC liquor permit
  • strong organizational skills
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • responsible for keeping all licenses and permits current

Job Duties

  • Formulates, administers, and enforces departmental policies and performance standards
  • participates in setting marketing policies and goals designed to attract casino guests
  • ensures departmental compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing food and beverage
  • coordinates all activities in the Beverage Department relating to recruitment, interviewing, testing, selection, orientation, promotions, and terminations
  • maintains professional grooming and appearance standards
  • sets priorities for all Beverage supervisors and provides guidance
  • conducts staff meetings with bars and service area employees
  • participates in special projects as requested by F&B Director or casino management
  • reviews departmental reports addressing potential conflicts or misinformation
  • ensures maximum service and satisfaction levels in beverage operations
  • ensures accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • maintains the highest standards of customer service and employee relations
  • assists shift supervisors with scheduling and staffing adjustments
  • approves all work schedules
  • reviews financial statements and forecasts revenue and labor figures
  • maintains proper inventory levels
  • maximizes cost effectiveness by ensuring compliance with budget, labor, and revenue benchmarks
  • complies with local jurisdiction gaming laws and company policies
  • promotes proper internal communication
  • performs quarterly inventories and monitors inventory levels
  • ensures proper maintenance of equipment
  • assists F&B Trainer in developing training policies
  • trains and supervises staff on beverage preparation and service standards
  • adheres to purchasing policies
  • reviews and investigates shortages and open checks
  • partners with restaurant leadership to develop beverage menus, pricing, and recipe standards
  • updates beverage menus with current trends and guest preferences
  • maintains company beverage program standards
  • partners with vendors to ensure product quality
  • manages daily operation of beverage service ensuring quality and compliance.
