Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Manager certification or willingness to obtain
  • Previous sommelier experience
  • At least 5 years progressive restaurant and wait service experience
  • Prior management experience
  • Experience in club or hotel environment
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend and reach into equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sommelier experience required
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in wait service and restaurant management
  • Food Manager certification such as ServSafe or willingness to obtain
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with POS systems, preferably Jonas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in club, hotel, or similar hospitality environments
  • Prior management experience
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and certification growth

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient setup and operation of all bars
  • Develop and implement policies for wine programs and beverage offerings
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations governing alcoholic beverages
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving of all beverages
  • Approve invoices and maintain beverage par levels
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bar personnel
  • Collaborate with team for gourmet wine dinners and beverage program promotion
  • Build membership relationships and resolve service complaints
  • Coordinate with Director of Food and Beverage on staffing and organizational planning
  • Conduct pre-meal meetings and daily briefings with dining staff
  • Attend required meetings and training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
