Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Capacity to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizers, sandwiches, calzones, pizza, grilled, and pasta dishes according to Bertucci's specifications
  • Maintain knowledge of all behind-the-line kitchen areas to ensure flexible scheduling
  • Perform food rotation, set-up, break-down, and stock wood for ovens
  • Clean utensils and general work area to maintain hygiene standards
  • Ensure ovens, coolers, and freezers are at accurate temperatures
  • Inspect stock levels and coordinate with manager on daily prep list
  • Store, unpack, and retrieve food items appropriately
  • Monitor and report equipment malfunctions
  • Demonstrate correct use of food service equipment and maintain sanitary conditions as per State Health Department standards
  • Clean spills to prevent accidents and wipe immediate work area after food preparation
