Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- one to two years of relevant kitchen experience
- ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
- physical stamina and mobility to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to work in varying temperature environments
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- capacity to adhere to sanitation and safety standards
- willingness to work part-time hours as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- one to two years of experience in a kitchen or related food preparation role
- knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures
- ability to perform non-repetitive analytical work in a kitchen setting
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Job Duties
- Check all items against the recipe cards
- verify that use records are followed for all items served
- ensure food is presented in an efficient and quality manner
- monitor line set up prior to all meal functions
- monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen cleanliness
- prepare food consistently following recipe and portion standards
- start food items prepared ahead of time ensuring no overproduction
- date and rotate food containers as per SOP
- check pars for shift use and determine preparation needs
- report out-of-stock items or shortages
- assist in keeping buffet stocked
- return unused food items properly stored
- assist in correcting food cost problems and controlling waste
