Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 6 months customer service experience or 6 months office environment experience
  • clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to provide concierge level service
  • experience evaluating and responding to customer situations
  • data entry or typing experience
  • strong interpersonal skills and independent decision-making capabilities
  • analytical and organizational skills
  • ability to spend 90 percent of scheduled time on phone
  • proficiency with web and PC applications
  • preferred experience in healthcare customer service
  • familiarity with health insurance products
  • knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • handle incoming calls from members and physicians
  • respond promptly and accurately to telephone and written inquiries
  • conduct research to resolve member questions
  • maintain detailed and accurate records of interactions
  • provide concierge-level service to maximize member benefits
  • navigate healthcare systems to assist members effectively
  • document and enter data accurately into computer systems
