Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good physical condition to handle luggage and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate bell carts and other luggage handling equipment safely
  • Knowledge of local area, attractions, and transportation options preferred
  • Ability to maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance
  • Willingness to follow safety and security guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with hotel safety and emergency procedures
  • Ability to assist guests with travel directions and local recommendations

Job Duties

  • Open and close vehicle doors for guests
  • Check guest luggage for both day and overnight visits
  • Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage and from their vehicle
  • Utilize bell carts to transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and loading areas
  • Maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room
  • Ensure that lobby area and front exterior and interior of the hotel is neat and clean at all times by picking up trash, adjusting furniture to proper positions
  • Stand by ready to assist guests, greeting and welcoming guests to the hotel
  • Assist in providing travel directions, recommendations for local attractions, restaurants and other services
  • Answer phones to assist PBX and guest calls
  • Restock supplies at the front desk, business center and grab and go areas
  • Promptly report all emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems and safety hazards to management
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Adhere to hotel taxi stand requirement and agreements
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisor or manager
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor or manager
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
  • Assist other front desk personnel when needed
  • Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
