Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Valid alcohol server certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment and standard transmission vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow safety and fire regulations
  • Professionally maintain grooming and uniform standards
  • Compliance with attendance and company policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent acceptable experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a pleasant personality
  • Ability to write, read, count, and file alphabetically and numerically with precision
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment including computers, fax, copier, and scanner
  • Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Valid alcohol server certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak clearly
  • Capable of remembering and frequently using guest names
  • Enthusiastic, centered, and organized individual

Job Duties

  • Receive guests warmly and politely and use guests' names whenever possible
  • Transport guests' luggage to and from rooms and ensure guest safety and proper luggage handling
  • Explain all features of guest rooms including TV operation, mini bar location, safe, and drape function
  • Point out emergency exits nearest the room
  • Conduct self professionally and adhere to established standards, including fire regulations and department procedures
  • Check work schedule regularly and notify the supervisor if unable to report on time
  • Store and retrieve luggage, boxes, golf clubs for guests
  • Complete guests' and visitors' deliveries as assigned
  • Deliver messages to guests' rooms or meeting rooms
  • Deliver mail, newspaper, and departmental deliveries and maintain records on the Bell Staff log sheet
  • Maintain an orderly workplace and ensure equipment cleanliness
  • Execute room changes for guests efficiently at management direction
  • Perform other associated duties as required
  • Remain at assigned post until summoned and return to the desk after completing tasks
  • Monitor lobby appearance and report maintenance or housekeeping issues
  • Complete gift or amenity deliveries as directed
  • Open reception building exterior doors for arriving guests
  • Interact warmly with guests using consistent eye contact and a smile
  • Follow and deliver 5 Star service standards anticipating guests' needs
