Job Requirements

  • Must be a naturally enthusiastic, centered, and organized person to manage diverse multi-tasking responsibilities
  • must possess excellent communication skills with a pleasant personality
  • ability to write, read, count, and file alphabetically and numerically with precision
  • ability to operate basic office equipment including computer and related programs, fax, copier, and scanner
  • capable of remembering guest names and using them frequently
  • must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly
  • valid CA driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
  • must have valid Alcohol Server Certification within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Receive guests warmly and politely using guests' names whenever possible
  • transport guests' luggage to and from rooms ensuring safety and proper handling
  • explain all guest room features such as TV operation, mini bar location, safe, and drape functions
  • point out nearest emergency exits
  • conduct self professionally adhering to established standards and house rules
  • check work schedule regularly and report to supervisor if unable to work scheduled shifts
  • store and retrieve luggage, boxes, golf clubs for guests
  • complete guest and visitor deliveries as assigned
  • deliver messages to guests' rooms or meeting rooms
  • deliver mail, newspaper, and departmental deliveries maintaining a log
  • maintain an orderly workplace and ensure all equipment is spotless
  • execute room changes efficiently and courteously
  • perform other associated duties as required
  • remain at assigned post until summoned for tasks and then return
  • monitor lobby appearance and report maintenance or housekeeping issues
  • complete gift or amenity deliveries as directed
  • open exterior doors for arriving guests
  • engage guests with sincere and warm interactions including eye contact and smiles
  • follow and deliver five-star service standards anticipating guest needs
