Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
  • Valid CA driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent acceptable experience
  • Must have valid Alcohol Server Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Weekend and holiday availability
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to see, hear and speak clearly
  • Must conduct self in a professional manner
  • Reports to all scheduled shifts on time
  • Follow all fire and safety procedures
  • Maintain uniform cleanliness and proper attire
  • Comply with attendance, meal and rest break policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent acceptable experience
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
  • Must have valid Alcohol Server Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pleasant personality with ability to make frequent eye contact
  • Ability to write, read, count, and file alphabetically and numerically with precision
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, fax, copier, and scanner
  • Energetic and reliable team player with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Receives guests warmly and politely and uses guests’ name whenever possible
  • Transports guests’ luggage to and from rooms and ensures guest safety and proper luggage handling
  • Explains all features of the guest room to the guest including TV operation, mini bar location, safe, and drape function
  • Points out emergency exit nearest the room
  • Conducts self in a professional manner at all times adhering to established standards and safety regulations
  • Checks work schedule regularly and notifies supervisor if unable to report to work
  • Stores and retrieves luggage, boxes, and golf clubs for guests
  • Completes guests’ and visitors’ deliveries and messages as assigned
  • Delivers mail, newspaper, and departmental deliveries and maintains activity logs
  • Maintains tidy work area and polishes bell carts
  • Executes room changes for guests efficiently
  • Monitors lobby conditions and reports maintenance or housekeeping issues
  • Opens reception exterior doors for arriving guests
  • Provides sincere and warm interaction with guests maintaining eye contact and a smile
  • Follows and delivers 5 Star service standards, anticipating guest needs
