Job Requirements

  • Education at a high school diploma level or equivalent such as General Educational Development (GED)
  • No prior related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No licenses or certifications required

Job Duties

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms
  • open doors and assist guests or visitors entering and leaving the property
  • inform guests about hotel amenities, services, operating hours, local attractions and activities
  • identify and explain room functionalities such as key use, minibar, ice and vending machine locations, room safe, and laundry services
  • carry luggage to and from guest rooms or designated bell areas
  • assist in storing and retrieving luggage
  • help guests and visitors in and out of vehicles including loading and unloading luggage
  • provide guests with directions to their destinations
  • arrange transportation such as taxis and shuttle services for guests and visitors and record transportation requests in advance as needed
  • communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
  • adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • protect company information and property privacy
  • support coworkers with dignity and respect
  • assist the team to achieve common goals
  • meet quality assurance standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, drag and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance
  • assist in moving objects over 75 pounds
  • stand, sit or walk for extended periods during shifts
  • move at speeds required for job duties including walking and slow running
  • read and visually verify information in various formats
  • reach above head and below knees, crouch, twist waist, drag and bend as needed
  • navigate inclined, uneven, slippery surfaces and use stairs or ramps
  • welcome and recognize guests according to company standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others including phone etiquette
  • remain vigilant for potentially undesirable individuals on property
  • perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
