Job Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old to operate a shuttle or drive guests
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate own or company vehicles other than shuttle
- Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience of similar vehicles
- No positive drug or alcohol tests including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion
- No more than 2 moving traffic violations in the last 36 months
- No speeding violations over 25 mph in the last 36 months
- No DUI convictions in the last 5 years
- No vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or assault convictions
- No operating a vehicle with suspended or revoked license
- No using a vehicle in commission of a felony
- No operating a vehicle without owner’s permission
- No reckless driving or speed contests
- No leaving the scene of accident with bodily injury or damage
- No eluding police
- No operating cell phone violations while driving
- Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility up to 4 hours
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment
- Must comply with company safety and operational rules
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic computational ability
- Ability to effectively interact with customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS systems
- Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements
- Self-driven and able to work independently
Job Duties
- Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
- Inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets if time permits
- Offer information on hotel services, facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
- Store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage into and out of automobiles
- Call taxi for guests upon request
- Prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork ensuring accuracy and operational standards
- Supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries to ensure proper handling and completion
- Complete daily paperwork
- Maintain the check-in station for appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness
- Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
- Promote a positive working environment and follow all employee handbook guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and bell carts
- Safely operate guest vehicles from valet area to designated parking area and return them for pick-up obeying all traffic laws
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Assist with guest inquiries
- Follow all company safety and security policies
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Perform other job duties as requested by supervisors
